Andrea Kühn

Prof. Dr. med. Andrea Kühn is head of the movement disorder section at the Charité, Department of Neurology.

She is principle investigator of the project SP9: "Genetic fingerprints of oscillatory network activity in dystonia".

and co-investigator of the project SP8: "Charting motor network connectivity and plasticity in genetically determined dystonia syndromes using combined transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), eyeblink conditioning, diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) and repetitive TMS (rTMS) / deep brain stimulation".

She is leading the DFG-supported clinical research group for DBS (KFO247). The group is equipped with a well-established electrophysiology laboratory comprising invasive deep brain recordings, EEG and TMS/rTMS systems.

She is realizing magnetoencephalographic recordings in collaboration with the biomagnetism group of the PTB (Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt) Berlin. LFP recordings are an established method in her lab that have been used over the last 10 years.
