Prof. Dr. med. Meike Kasten is a psychiatrist trained in neuroepidemiology and Associate Professor focusing on movement disorders and specific methods for rare diseases.

She is co-leader of the project SP2: "German Dystonia Registry: Natural History, Epidemiology, Genetics, and Clinical Trial Resource".

She is experienced in cohort studies including the establishing of a new cohort and study design. Since 2010 Meike Kasten has been heading the research group for Neuropsychiatric Epidemiology at the University of Lübeck.
